Speed Networking – Fast and Fun

Wired Wessex joined with Winchester BID and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce in July for an evening of Speed Networking. Held in the Shakespeare Room in the University of Winchester Business School and facilitated by Jim Culverwell, of Culverwell Consulting, over sixty attendees formed inner and outer circles and had one minute each to give their ‘elevator pitch’. Due to the speed of the event, it was possible to meet at least thirty business contacts in a very short time. After a break of hors d’eouvres, attendees were given the opportunity to seek out those contacts with which they wanted to further their conversation.

There was no shyness allowed and a great feeling of support and friendliness in the room. This was the first joint event between the three organisations and we’re pleased that it was a great success!
